We are actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and adapting our practices to support the needs of our customers, brokers, employees and communities. We have robust business resiliency plans in place to provide exceptional, uninterrupted service, while maintaining the safety of everyone involved.

Here are some of the ways we’re helping during this time:

Taking Care of Our Customers

  • Following the 25% credit announced in April, we are providing personal auto insurance customers with an additional 15% credit on one month’s premium.
  • We are committed to responding to our customers’ claim needs with speed, compassion, integrity and professionalism. You can make a claim at any time by visiting our claim centre.
  • We are adjusting our claim inspection process to rely more heavily on state-of-the-art digital and virtual tools. 
  • We are extending auto coverage for customers whose job responsibilities now include using their personal vehicles to make food, grocery, pharmacy and medical supply deliveries.
  • We are helping customers who are experiencing financial hardships by offering solutions based on their unique circumstances. Please contact us or your broker, and we’ll work through the situation together.

Taking Care of Our Employees

  • We have enabled nearly all our employees to seamlessly perform their jobs remotely and created safe environments for those employees that are worksite-essential.
  • To make remote work easier, we provided employees with appropriate equipment, supplies and resources (e.g., an additional computer monitor, a phone headset, etc.).

Taking Care of Our Communities

  • We pledged $5 million to COVID-19 relief efforts to assist families and communities across North America, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Our Claim team donated their surplus supply of 1500 gloves and 250 N95 masks to Conquer COVID-19 to help protect frontline healthcare workers.
